Scrip Store Card Program
Shopping old fashion way - Are you still shopping the old fashion way – using cash or a credit card? Why not shop using a store card that you already purchased from the school!!!! And better yet, in purchasing a store card for many of the stores you shop EVERYDAY right here in Acton (Stop and Shop, Roche Bros, Kmart, T.J. Max, CVS, Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks) you personally are helping to pay for teaching assistants in your child’s classroom.
Thank you - We would like to thank all those families that continue to order Scrip cards each month; we greatly appreciate it. They are still a great way to help the school raise money without having to “buy” anything additional.
Great gifts - Scrip gift cards also make great gifts any time of the year for all those birthdays you have coming up. The gift cards are available in many denominations: $5, $10 and $25 and higher.
Did you know -Did you know that buying a store card through the Scrip program gets you more than you pay for? For example, when you buy a $25 card to Starbucks, you are really getting $26.75 in value ($25 for you to spend at Starbucks, and $1.75 for McT that Starbucks Corp. contributes). Now, $1.75 may seem like a small amount, but if every family bought just one Starbuck’s card a month, McT would get $647.50 a month; that is $6,475 a year from Starbucks Corp. That is almost $13,000 a year if every family bought just 2 Starbucks card every month. Multiply that with all the other cards that people buy, and that is a lot of assistant hours for our children that YOU did not pay for (FREE MONEY)!
Easy to use - These store cards are EASY TO ORDER. You simply fill out the order form and send in a check with your child or you can order than on-line (directions below). Cards can be purchased by anyone. So you can give the Scrip order form to family members, neighbors and co-workers. Start your holiday shopping early; don’t leave it until December. Store cards make great year-end gifts for teachers, bus drivers, reading buddies, as well as for your family, nieces, nephews and parents.
To order - To order your scrip cards on-line (now no longer depending on your child to hand the order in and missing a deadline) AND also re-load current scrip cards you have already purchased. Checks must still be sent in before you receive the cards. To create an account, follow these simple instructions. You can also set up a Presto Pay account and pay for your cards on-line (39 cent fee & the money comes right out of your checking account, how easy is that).
1 – log on to www.shopwithscrip.com
2 – Click on the “Get Started” tab on top
3 – Click on the “Register” tab on left
4 – Enter info (on step 3 the only optional info we need is Child’s name/teacher name to deliver the cards to
5 – Enrollment code for McT is AL91AAC31L565 (when you get your confirmation on screen - please make sure it indicates McT and Lynne as the coordinator).
After you have placed your order through this website, it will give you a shopping cart you can print out and send in with your check. Or if you pay on-line through Presto Pay, you don’t have to do anything else!
Deadline - The last of order of the year - June orders are due on Tuesday, June 8th (10am). Cards will be in the week after. Please contact Lynne or Maureen with any questions.
